* Blown away by 1st night of Prayer and Worship
I was blown away tonight as close to 150 people came out for our first ever night of prayer and worship. We followed the Harps and Bowls method of worship as inspired by www.theprayerroom.tv and Revelation 5:8 "And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God's people."
God moved in amazing ways as people weeped, took communion, prayed for salvations, generosity, church leaders, missions, and more. I am blown away by how fired up and engaged the people of Journey are.
I'm reading Jentezen Franklin's prayer and fasting Journal for Day 3 and was inspired by his opening paragraph, "Fasting stirs a hunger in your spirit that goes deeper than any temporary hunger you exeperience in your flesh. When you hunger for God, He will fill you! Jesus went through cities where He could do no miracles - because there was no hunger. In this day, God is saying, "I am looking for somebody who wants something. I'm looking for somebody who will do more than show up for another church service, but they will hunger for that which I want to place in them.'"
Lord, continue to place that kind of hunger and thirst for you in the people of God. Pour out your Spirit on the people of Journey, empower us as a people and use us to make a difference for you.
Thank you Jesus.. We love you!
